MY STORY
I always like to get to know the person I’m working with. I’m sure you do too, so here’s a snapshot of me.
First things first. I’m a writer. Professionally for 25 years. And over 40 years if you count my early detective stories I wrote while in primary school. You can read more about my writing career here (minus the detective stories).
I have two daughters – one a teenager and the other not far behind – who make me laugh, listen and learn everyday. Same applies to their gorgeous mum (she told me to say that :).
I love my sport, in particular the Brisbane Lions Australian Football Club. I’m community focused, having coached my girls in their netball and nippers, and currently serving on the Committee of their Netball Club.
And I’m passionate about mental health issues – particularly related to men and kids – which led me to self-publish my first picture book Why Worry Wally?, aimed at helping kids cope and deal with their worries. Please check it out by clicking on the link.
So that’s me.
If you think I could help you and you’d like to continue the conversation, whether that’s as a writer for you or finding out more about Why Worry Wally?, feel free to call me on +61 412 608 359 or email me at rick.foster@bigpond.com
